1989 t0 2008: It's been nearly nineteen years since Lynch and crew descended upon the Snoqualmie Valley to shoot the pilot for Twin Peaks. Today, at the entrance to town, the sign is gone, several telephone lines have been added and one tree has fallen. This spot, however, remains serene and full of wonder.

The end of an era • Once a beautiful, bustling, billowing beacon, today the mill is shut down and has been reduced to one lonesome smokestack.

I thought of knocking on the door at night and asking them to open the door just so....but as you can see, I thought better of it.

Big Ed's Gas Farm
This location has been through the wringer. Several renovations and a new roof later, it hardly resembles that cozy old gas station from '89. The good news is that Ed and Nadine's house is still fully intact and right next door.

Overlooking Twin Peaks
...Well, sort of. The actual shot was taken down by the far line of trees, which have grown substantially since the pilot was shot. Once you're down there, though, the trees block the view of the mountains.
