It was a far-fetched idea, but after considerable research and much ado, I found this exact spot... and perhaps the very branch where this iconic thrush perched some 19 years ago. MORE...
Hi Charles, I was impressed with the website. I live in the Upper West Side of Manhattan and I moved here a couple of years ago even though I was living in Albany, Upstate NY before. I'm a singer and as music artist I appreciated Twin Peak's soundtrack from the beginning. You wanna know when the beginning was? At 5 years old. That's when Twin Peaks came out and I used to watch it in my grandparents' dining room sitting on the floor, in Italy, my homecountry. The thought of this little blonde girl sitting on the cold surface switching through channels and accidentally going on channel 4 and getting hypnotized by the twin peak's song makes me smile, still after those years. But yeah that's how it happened, the song for the opening of the episodes (the theme song) enchanted me, as this American masterpiece overwhelmed me more and more, episode by episode, twice or three times a week (can't remember). I love David Lynch and I appreciate all his works as they're "good practice" for the mind. He doesn't give details, I think viewers just find them out by themselves, and they do find them out as the hints all make sense as deceptive and diverting as they may seem. Now that I live in America, I always thought of visiting the locations, but where would u recommend to board and lodge? Where to fly to? is a car necessary? and how many days do u suggest to stay? Sorry for the many questions, but it would be nice to actually be in the place that so much fascinated me when I was younger. Also, do u work in any artistic field? I'd like to receive an answer from you on my personal e-mail address: w_x_lite@hotmail.com if possible Thanks!
I'm back from California with photos of over 30 series locations! For a sneak preview of what's to come this Summer, click HERE.
about the website
I've been captivated by the world of Twin Peaks since it first aired in 1990. In recent years, I've traveled to Washington State and photographed as many of the series' filming locations as I've been able to find. For the most part, I've tried to stick to locations that were shot for the pilot, as I feel that they're likely to be closest to the original vision of Twin Peaks.Underneath each still from the show is one of my photographs from the very same filming location. For additional information about each location, click on the "MORE..." link at the bottom of each post.I hope you enjoy this tour.
